Police: Underage Drinking Initiative Results in Two Arrests

An underage drinking initiative in Ulster County resulted in two arrests.

On Wednesday, State Police from the Kingston barracks conducted an underage drinking initiative which targeted the sale of alcohol to minors. Undercover state police operatives attempted to purchase alcohol at 12 establishment in Ulster County.

Two individuals were charged with the Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21 which is a violation of the Alcohol Beverage Control Law.

The establishments were the Big Belly Deli in Saugerties, and the Lucky Food Mart Sunoco in Saugerties.

Both individuals were given appearance at the scene, and are due in court at a later date.
