Two Dutchess County residents were arrested following a traffic stop in Pleasant Valley. 

On February 13, 2018 at approximately 12:20 a.m., state police conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Nissan Sentra for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

While interviewing the driver, identified as David J. Hanlon Jr., 40, of Hyde Park, N.Y., a strong odor of marijuana was detected.

Further investigation discovered that Hanlon was in possession of 2.86 pounds of marijuana and two switch blade knives while being a convicted felon.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Heather M. Eilenberger, 38, of Hyde Park was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine and marijuana.

Hanlon was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana second-degree, and two count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon third-degree, all felonies.He was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Eilenberger was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. She was released with appearance tickets.
