Police: Orange County Man Caught With Nearly 100 Pieces of Stolen U.S. Mail
A man was allegedly in the process of burglarizing a home when he was arrested, and caught with stolen U.S. Mail from two states.
According to a press release, an Orange County man was in the process of burglarizing a residence in the Town of Deerpark, NY when he was arrested.
Franklin E. Tiritilli, 29 from Cuddebackville, NY was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree , Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools.
A subsequent search of his vehicle revealed nearly one hundred pieces of U.S. Mail that had been stolen from residences in New York and Pennsylvania.
Tiritilli was arraigned and remanded to Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Town of Deerpark Police Department, and the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department, PA are assisting in the continuing investigation.
