Patricia Flynn Scarry, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 83
Patricia Flynn Scarry, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was 83. The daughter of the late Louis and Matilda (Weber) Flynn, she was born October 18, 1934 in New York City. She was married to the late Timothy F. Scarry, whom she married in January, 1955 in Good Shepherd Church, NYC.
Pat was a retired retail representative for Lloyd’s and Fashion Bug in Newburgh. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in New York City.
She is survived by her children Katherine Scarry McAneney (John) of Lords Valley, PA, Timothy Scarry (Judy) of Virginia Beach, VA, Dennis Scarry and Christopher Scarry, both of Town of Newburgh; grandchildren, Kerri and Laura McAneney, Allison Scarry, Dennis and Lana Scarry; great-granddaughter Ruth E. Dennis; and nieces and nephews Barbara, Al and Colin Cook, Brian Healy, Theresa Scarry Sherman, Patrick Scarry and Michael McMahon.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by daughters, Nancy Jean and Jean Louise Scarry, and sister, Arlene Flynn Healy.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday, April 20 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 21 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh.
