New Beer Garden Opening in Dutchess County This October
A popular Hudson Valley beer destination is moving and adding a beer garden.
Grand Cru has been forced to leave their current location in Rhinebeck and will be closing down their Route 9 beer and cheese market soon. In a post to their Facebook page, the owners explained that they were hoping to open a restaurant on Route 308, in the building that was the former location of Edo Sushi. But now management will be moving their entire store to the larger space.
The owners are still planning to offer beer to go, cheese by the pound and will also incorporate a small food menu. The new spot is expected to offer "a relaxing outside space" that will feature lawn games and live music during the day. The kid friendly beer garden will also have a fire pit at night, which is expected to be very popular, especially since they are opening this fall.
Owners say it's not an ideal situation, but they are excited about moving the beer and cheese market to a larger space and incorporating an outdoor beer garden. "We will expand the menu and over time, hopefully, we will have the full restaurant concept we initially envisioned."
