lph A. Testa of the Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 91.
Son of the late Felice and Gulietta Testa, he was born on December 25, 1925 in Yonkers. He married the love of his life, Mary Pilkington, on September 4, 1949 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Yonkers. Mrs. Testa preceded him in death, passing on January 15, 2001.
Mr. Testa proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II; he was honorably discharged in 1946. He later retired from Royal Motors in White Plains where he worked as a business manager. In his spare time, Ralph was a member of the American Legion, Frank A. Rea Post in Yonkers. He also was an avid listener of music; he enjoyed all kinds.
Survivors include his children, Patricia Zamborsky and her husband, Bill of Wappingers Falls, and Robert J. Testa of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Jonathan Zamborsky and his wife, Erin of Durham, NC, and Kaitlin Zamborsky of Wappingers Falls; and great-grandson, Liam.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Testa.
Family will receive their friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A memorial service will follow visitation at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
