Local Police Surprise Kids with Shopping Spree
An entire community came together to give a bunch of awesome kids a holiday season that they will never forget.
WRRV's 3rd annual Shop with a Cop event took place last week at the Pougheepsie Galleria and as usual it was such a magical experience for everyone involved. All year long WRRV, local businesses along with local police departments have been raising funds to reward some great and deserving kids from right here in the Hudson Valley.
The kids were nominated by parents, teachers, aunts, uncles and cousins to go on a paid shopping spree accompanied by a police officer.The kids are given a gift card with a significant amount and free to shop at any store they want at the Galleria. 24 kids of all ages helped make this a record year for WRRV.

We certainly couldn't do it without our local officers from thr Town of Poughkeepsie, Kent, Peeksill, Wappingers, Peekskill, Dutchess County Sheriff, NY DEC, New Paltz, Fishkill and East Fishkill.
