Did you know that almost every weekend since August of this year has had rain or wet weather in some capacity? The National Weather Service adds that we may have more wet weather on its way, but fingers crossed it will hold off.

It's no secret that witches and water don't go well together (cue the "I'm melting" scene"). With that being said a witchin' good time was postponed last week, and is coming back strong for this weekend.

Witchy Weather Delays Witch Festival in Sleepy Hollow, NY

Last weekend the SUP Witch Festival hosted by Rivertowns SUP & Yoga in Sleepy Hollow was postponed due to some wonky weather. Paddleboard witches from all over registered to dress up like their favorite witch or wizard and paddleboard on the Hudson River to celebrate the spooky season.

Sadly, due to the rain, they decided to hold out for the rain date.

Surfs Up Witches! The Paddleboard Witches Return to Sleepy Hollow This Weekend

But the witches are ready to hit the water this weekend.

On Sunday, October 22nd from 12 pm until 6 pm you can catch the witches on their paddle boards at Horan's Landing in Sleepy Hollow. As mentioned earlier, the weather has been weird all across the Hudson Valley so Rivertowns SUP is taking precautions. On Thursday, October 19th, 2023 they wrote on social media:

Secure your hats witches and hold onto your paddles!

At this time, the festival is ON! However our witch paddle will be more of a flotilla this year, meaning we’re hanging out in and around the cove. This plan is subject to the weather and may change.
Updates will be posted here and on the website.
