Feed You, Feed Them Returns For the Dutchess County SPCA
For the 2nd year in a row, the Dutchess County SPCA is announcing its dining initiative to collect donations for the thousands of animals they help throughout the year.
The 2nd annual Feed You, Feed Them Restaurant Day on Thursday, April 4, 2024, will take place throughout the Hudson Valley. 14 different restaurants are currently participating and a portion of the proceeds collected that day will benefit the Dutchess County SPCA.
In a press release, Lynne Meloccaro the Executive Director of the Dutchess County SPCA said,
“We’re honored that so many of the fantastic restaurants in the Hudson Valley are coming together to support the animals of Dutchess County by joining our Feed You, Feed Them restaurant day."
Meloccaro added that there are so many great dining destinations throughout the region and they are "excited to partner with them so that the community may indulge in fantastic food that helps animals."
Places like Tito Santana's in Beacon, Beekman Square Diner in Poughquag and Darby O'Gills in Hyde Park are all participating.
The Dutchess County SPCA Helps Thousands of Animals Throughout the Year
The Dutchess County SPCA, located on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization no-kill shelter. And, this is a pretty great fun fact, the DCSPCA is also one of the oldest SPCAs in the United States.
Throughout the year, the DCSPCA will help over 3,000 animals, find homes for homeless pets and they also offer low-cost veterinary services and free vacation clinics.
Portions of the donations collected during Feed You, Feed Them will assist the DCSPCA provide different resources to help keep pets with their families.
