Rockland County Family Featured on ABC for Holiday Light Display
Known as the 'North Pole Airport,' one Rockland County family's holiday light display has once again received some national attention.
Perhaps you've heard their story from their appearance on Live with Kelly (and Ryan at the time) a few years back, or have been faithful followers for years, or maybe this is the first time you're being introduced to the Cirlin Family of New City North Pole Airport acclaim.
The Cirlin Family's North Pole Airport
As explained on their official website (yes, this display is that official), the Cirlin's have been expanding on their North Pole Airport for more than seven years.
What started as a simply airplane inflatable with two rows of lights on either side to make a runway, has turned into one of the largest holiday light displays in the tri-state area. Each year, we add more lights and more elements to our display because we have two goals. (1) Spread as much holiday joy as possible and (2) collect as much as possible for our two benefiting charities.
Located at 12 Oriole Road in New City (Rockland County), the Cirlin Family proudly assembles their display to benefit Angel Flight North East (life saving patient transport) and People to People of Rockland (food pantry).
They love sharing their own joy of the season with visitors, and their love for aviation with the community.
Meet the family and learn a bit more about their story below from their 2021 appearance on ABC's Live With Kelly & Ryan.
Rockland Family Featured on ABC's Great Christmas Light Fight
A longtime dream came true for the Cirlin family in 2023 when their display was featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight. Their episode aired on Sunday December 3rd where they were in the running for a $50,000 prize.
Since we don't want to be responsible for any spoilers, if you missed the Cirlin's Rockland County light display on the 12/3 episode, you can catch the replay on Hulu, or grab your boarding pass (as shown above when host Carter Oosterhouse scanned in) and view the teaser below.
If you want to pay a visit to the New City North Pole Airport at 12 Oriole Rd in New City, the runway is open Thursday-Saturday nights, 6pm-10pm, Sundays 6pm-9pm, with static shows from 5-6pm for those with epilepsy or other sensory concerns.
