Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week, Jeanine Agnolet, Chair of Marketing for the 2017 Special Olympics Winter State Games, stopped by our studios to talk about the upcoming Special Olympics Winter games, coming to the Hudson Valley, February 17-19.

We talked about everything from the opening ceremonies, which events will be held throughout the Hudson Valley, how to volunteer and be part of this great event, and more.

Jeanine also talked about a very special flag raising to be held on the Mid-Hudson Bridge in honor of the games as well as the upcoming Polar Plunge on February 25 at Sharpe Reservation in Fishkill with monies raised going to benefit Special Olympics.

As so often is the case, Jeanine does a much better job of explaining all of this than I ever could. Here is this week's show. We hope to see you for the 2017 Special Olympics Winter State Games!
