One of the first places I visited upon moving to the Hudson Valley, was Hyde Park, specifically the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. He had been my Gram's hero as she had grown up during the depression, so I had to see his home and presidential library.

Fast forward a few years, and imagine my excitement, when I was asked to emcee the Hyde Park Fourth of July Parade. I have had the pleasure of emceeing this annual tradition for a few years now, and I will once again be joined by Mark Bolger, from Mix 97.7.

This Tuesday, July 4, I hope to see you at this year’s parade. It will start at 10 am and head north on Route 9 and will end at the Regina Coeli School. This year's theme is “NYS Police-Celebrating 100 Years of Service.” Established by the New York State Legislature in 1917, the New York State Police have been there to enforce the law, help citizens in needs, and be where ever they are needed.

Serving as this year’s grand marshal, will be members of the New York State Police who proudly serve throughout the Hudson Valley.
