Powerful storms swept through the area Tuesday and damage was widespread. A place the Hudson Valley loves to come together to watch a good ball game wasn't spared. Dutchess Stadium was hit with fallen branches and even part of a roof from across the street.

Some 72,000 Central Hudson customers were without power and it could take days to completely restore service. The southern part of Dutchess County was hardest hit. Wind gusts topped out at more than 70 miles an hour in the area. Hudson Valley Renegades President Steve Gliner posted several photos of the damage to the stadium on his Facebook page. The image below of the portion of the roof in the parking lot is from the shopping center across from the stadium on 9D.

The Hudson Valley Renegades open the 2018 season on the road against Aberdeen on June 15. They'll begin a six-game homestand on June 21 and tickets are on sale now.

Damage wasn't just isolated to Dutchess County. Ulster and Putnam were hit hard as well. The photos below show a sample of the damage in Putnam County.
