A Hudson Valley group wants you to make like a tree... and set a world record.

If all goes according to plan this Sunday, lots of people will be standing on one foot with their arms stretched towards the sky.

An environmental group is hoping they can get a record amount of people to stand in a line making a yoga "tree pose." The aim is to raise money and awareness for the environment while celebrating the 20th anniversary of Keep Rockland Beautiful.

The Mothers Day for Mother Earth event will take place around Rockland Lake at 3pm on Sunday. Registration costs $10 for children and $25 for adults, with discounts for larger groups available in advance online.

Participants will be asked to strike a tree pose while being photographed from above by an aerial drone. The photo will be used as proof for the Guinness Book of World Records if enough participants join in the event.

The registration fee also includes family crafting activities during the event and eco-friendly gifts for the kids, as well as gardening gloves for the adults. All proceeds from the event will go towards Keep Rockland Beautiful’s environmental education and cleanup programs.
