When gyms are able to reopen in the Hudson Valley and New York State, Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie will be open too.

Indoor rock climbing is a sport that is really gaining some steam. The Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie offers top-rope climbing, lead climbing, and bouldering. They also have a weight area and auto-belays. Personally, I have fallen in love with bouldering. Bouldering is rock climbing with no harness or ropes, but you don't go up nearly as high as you would on a rope wall. It's a ton of fun and great exercise. I started in September 2019 so I'm definitely a novice, but I flash some V3s and I feel pretty good about where I'm at.

When gyms closed, both regular and rock gyms, in the Hudson Valley due to COVID-19, I was crushed. I spent a lot of time at the gym and climbing. So now what am I to do with my time? While I figure that out, I found out that The Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie is offering discount memberships and class passes to encourage people to come back when they can reopen.

According to their website, the Poughkeepsie Gravity Vault location is offering 25% off multiple packages. You can get 25% off a one-month adult membership with or without rentals, and annual adult memberships. They are also offering a discount on family plans and youth plans. You can also get 25% off of different class packages and staff belay packages. This sale is only available through May 15, 2020, or whenever they are able to reopen, whichever is first.
