He got his start in the Hudson Valley as a news guy for a local radio station and has gone on to become the play-by-play guy for the New York Knicks and NBA Finals.

Mike Breen went to Fordham University and began his news career at WPDH and WEOK shortly after graduating. According to MSGNetworks.com, he also worked on TV as a commentator for the Marist College Basketball team. After moving on, Breen found himself as a member of the Imus in the Morning team for more than 10 years. From there, he moved on to announce the Olympic men's and women's basketball ball games four times between 1996 and 2008.

Breen is currently announcing his 11th NBA Finals which, according to the New York Times, is two more than Marv Albert and Dick Stockton with nine a piece. He began calling Knicks games on the radio in 1991 and for the last few seasons has been announcing Knicks games for the MSG TV Network. When he's not working for the Knicks, Breen can also be seen announcing NBA games for ESPN
