EAST FISHKILL - Edward F. Dolan, age 60, died on February 23, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in the Bronx on October 9, 1957, he was the son of Marie (Marrero) Dolan and the late Edward Dolan. He married his high school sweetheart Laura (Rabusin) in 1980 in Brewster and ultimately made their home in Hopewell Junction.

Ed graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from NYIT and enjoyed a successful career as a three-time Emmy Award winning audio engineer in radio and television. His current professional endeavor was working as a set dresser with IATSE Local #52 on prime-time television productions throughout New York City and the surrounding areas. Among his many passions were music, restoring vintage motorcycles, and waiting patiently for his beloved Cleveland Browns to have a winning season.

Though Ed had much to be proud of, he considered his greatest accomplishment his three daughters. He treasured every moment with Erin Baker and husband Gregory of Fishkill, NY, Kimberly Moore and husband Patrick of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Courtney Woods and husband Tim of LaGrangeville, NY.

Ed also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren Timothy and Jake Woods, Royce and Lincoln Baker, and Lillian Moore. Additional survivors include his brothers Rudy and Gregory Ortiz, his sister Mattie Skidmore, his mother-in-law Pam Rabusin, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville, where Ed was a parishioner.
