
Dutchess County: “No Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus”
I think we all can admit, we're a little on edge when it comes to the Coronavirus.
According to the Center for Disease Control, the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is a "new respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China." Symptoms of the Coronavirus include "mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing."
While the flu is spreading throughout the Hudson Valley, so are rumors of the Coronavirus.
More specifically there is a screenshot making the rounds saying that there is a confirmed case of the Coronavirus at a Dutchess County Middle School. Fortunately, that screen shot is fake.
Dutchess County's official Twitter account tweeted the following on Thursday, February 6th:
The thread continues to explain the best way to prevent or spread respiratory illnesses.
