Daniel Vincent Maffei, A Fishkill Resident, Dies at 46

Daniel Vincent Maffei, a resident of Fishkill and formerly of Westchester County, died at home on Sunday, September 18, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 46.
He was born on November 14, 1969 in Yonkers, where he was raised and remained until 2001 when he relocated to Ossining. He has resided in Dutchess County since 2005.
Daniel worked for years as a driver for Liberty Lines Transit, based out of Yonkers. He was a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill.
He is survived by two children – his son, Matthew A. Maffei and his daughter, Jenna M. Maffei, both of Fishkill; his mother, Barbara J. (Murry) Maffei of Knoxville, TN; his father, Frank R. Maffei, Sr. of Murrells Inlet, SC; his brother, Frankie Maffei, Jr. of Yonkers; his brother, Bobby Maffei of Mount Vernon; his former wife & friend, Jennifer Maffei of Fishkill; and many other loving relatives & friends.
He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Ballew in 2014.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
