Carol Ann Bivona, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 68

Carol Ann Bivona, a lifetime resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Elant at Meadow Hill after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 68.

Daughter of the late Carolyn and William J. Dillon, she was born August 31, 1946 in Newburgh.

Carol graduated from Bishop Dunn Memorial School, Mount St. Mary High School in Newburgh, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. A woman of great faith, she loved God, her family, her friends, and her pets. She enjoyed the beach and family tradition of vacationing in Wildwood, NJ.

Carol is survived by her husband of 48 years, Andrew P. Bivona; her children, Cheryl Conero and husband Kevin of Montgomery and Janice Fanning-Colmone and husband Anthony of Kings Park; and grandchildren, Allison, Andrew and Eric Conero, Rachel Fanning and Lea Colmone.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, June 29 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, June 30 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
