Camille Moriello, of New Windsor, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Born in Newburgh on June 23, 1947, she was the daughter of Camillo and Edith (Parrella) Moriello.

Camille was a graduate of Mount St. Mary High School in Newburgh and Queen of the Apostles College in Harriman, NY. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and Newburgh Retired Teacher’s Assn.

Camille’s family and friends were the highest priority in her life, and the times spent with them were her happiest hours. Her unconditional love was fully returned and she will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. She devoted her life to working as a teacher and mentor at Sacred Heart School, and in the Newburgh School District at H0rizons and Vails Gate. She considered her many former students as part of her family. She also spent many hours volunteering with the St. Francis Church Food Bank and Backpack Program, The Carly Foundation, and in classrooms in the school district after her retirement. There is comfort knowing Camille is now at peace and with her father Camillo, her beloved spiritual guide Reverend Caldarola, and her niece Michelle.

Camille is survived by her mother, Edith, her siblings, A. Charles Moriello and his wife Joan of Newburgh and Barbara Attalienti and her husband Anthony of New York City; nieces and nephews, Matthew Moriello, Mia DeMattis and husband Scott, Gregory Attalienti, Mark Attalienti and wife Kara; great-nieces and nephews, Matthew, Christina and Michael DeMattis and Amy and April Attalienti; and numerous broken-hearted friends.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday, August 6 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
