Barbara Curasi, A Longtime Newburgh Resident, Dies at 69

Barbara Curasi, a longtime resident of Newburgh passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. She was 69.

Born in Newburgh, on November 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Carmella Pisano Lorber.  Barbara was a wonderful  mother and grandmother.  She loved her children and grandson more than anything.  She did what she could to help others all her life and she always made people laugh.  She was a hard worker who always did  her best.  She will be loved and missed by all who knew her!

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children; her son Ricky Curasi of Newburgh, and her daughter Melody Curasi of New Windsor; grandson, Ethan Torres of New Windsor; her sister Rochelle Lorber and her husband Robert of Long Island, her brother Arty Lorber of Pine Bush; many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents Barbara was predeceased by her sister Ellen Krinsky.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, March 11 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY
