Ann E. Light, 70, of Wappingers Falls passed on peacefully the morning of February 10, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. Born on January 23, 1946 in Yonkers, N.Y. to the late Roger Lewis and Mabel ”Molly” Walton. Ann was a graduate of Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua and went on to earn her LPN degree. Anne was a Nurse for over 40 years and worked in Westchester Medical Center (Grasslands Medical), St. Agnes Hospital, and later retired from service at MaryKnoll. Ann and her family lived in White Plains for over 30 years until her retirement and relocation to Wappinger Falls in 2005. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, spending time with her family, and spoiling her beloved grandkids.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Light, daughters Lynn (nee Grueninger) Diaz and her husband, Raymond, of Wappingers Falls and Barbara (nee Grueninger) Chipman and her husband, Russell, of Brewster, Ma. Cherished grandchildren include Rory, Maggie and Riley Chipman and Lea Diaz. Her dear brother Roger Lewis and his wife, Bobbie, her dear sister Alice Kearins and her companion David Lindquist and her beloved Aunt and friend, Beatrice ”Pip” Gambichler as well as her nephews, a niece and many cousins. Ann was predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Chipman and nephew, Steven Kearins.

In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Ann.
