Alice A. (Bennett) Bowman, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 92

Alice A. (Bennett) Bowman of the Town of Newburgh, a clerk typist at Hilton, Gibson & Miller entered into rest on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh.

The daughter of late James & Rose (Meehan) Bennett, Alice was born in Roseton, NY on December 2, 1924.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and graduated from NFA.  Alice was a devoted Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Survivors include her loving children, Kevin Bowman, Denice Know and Mary Ellen Bowman; beloved grandchildren, Carly Know, Jennifer Knox, Sean Bowman and  Katelin Bowman; beloved great-grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Chelsey Miller and Aria Degraw; she is also survive by several Nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Bowman, her brothers, James, Lawrence, Jack and Robert; sisters, Helen, Rosemary, Kathleen, Margaret and Joan Bennett.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Petr Bezdicek of Goshen Medical Associates, the nurses & staff of St. Luke’s ICU and all those friends who helped in her home care especially Betsy Sladeski.

 Visitation for family and friends will take place from 4-7 pm on Monday, June 19th at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 20th at St. Patrick’s Church, 55 Grand Street, Newburgh.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
