After days of searching, a man who went missing while swimming in the Hudson Valley has been found dead.

On Saturday around 7:30 p.m., the Lake Carmel Fire Department was dispatched to a marine incident involving a missing swimmer in Lake Carmel. For several hours the fire department helped other agencies search in and around the lake before suspending the search just before 11 p.m.

"Please keep the missing swimmer and their family in your thoughts," the Lake Carmel Fire Department wrote on Facebook Saturday evening.
