Technology is bonkers, man. Ever since I got Amazon Prime, it has become way too easy for me to spend way too much money on stuff I don't need. Prime Day, Amazon's annual day of crazy deals, is July 11th, and they're bringing back "Voice Deals."

What that means is if you have Alexa, you'll have access to a whole bunch of exclusive deals that us regular folks won't get. And starting today, you can ask Alexa what you'll be able to get. Just ask "What are your deals?" and it'll tell you - it's got savings on everything from bluetooth speakers to Squatty Pottys to gummi bears.

It makes me thankful I don't have Alexa, because I would almost definitely accidentally order something without even thinking about it. "Alexa, order me a Disney sewing machine and Kylo Ren's lightsaber." "Alexa, order all of the Sweet N' Cheesy Popcorn they have in stock."

Before you know it, my house is filled with Chewbacca masks and Garth Brooks CDs as far as the eye can see. (Which, granted, isn't too far from what it is now, but I'd like to maintain the illusion that I'm a sane adult.)

Anyway, more deals for Prime Day are going to be announced this week, and then they go into effect starting at 9:00 PM on July 10.
