The Hudson Valley is home to tons of animal lovers and pet rescuers. If you have some time, can you help out the Dutchess County SPCA?

The Dutchess County SPCA posted to their Facebook page that Animal Control Officer of the Town of Poughkeepsie, Cathy Edwards, and Theresa Matuck, an Animal Control Officer of the City of Poughkeepsie, were able to rescue a wandering pup.

The dog had been seen running between the city and town of Poughkeepsie for the past month.

The dog is now safe at the Dutchess County SPCA. However, the pup isn't chipped so they are having trouble identifying the owners.

If you or anyone you know has information about the dog above, they are urged to contact the City of Poughkeepsie Animal Control at (845)-451-4139.

For the time being, there is no visitation or adoption for the dog at this time.
