With temperatures expected to once again to be in the mid-teens overnight, finding yourself outside tonight with nowhere to go, could be a dangerous situation. If you know of someone who may find themselves left out in the cold, here’s information from the Ulster County Executive that’s important to know.

If you or someone you know is homeless, or you find yourself in a desperate situation tonight, don't take a chance by staying out in the frigid temperatures, head to Ulster County's Warming Center, hosted by the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church.

According to Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, the center will be open tonight from 7 pm to 7 am tomorrow morning. American Red Cross trained volunteers will staff the center which is open to any homeless adult, 18 years or older to come in and take shelter from the cold. The Family of Woodstock will also provide resources for those in need.

In addition, the Warming Center will provide a hot meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Should this latest round of Winter Storm Watches come to fruition, we will keep you updated on whether the warming center will remain open during the storm. If you need additional help, please call 845-679-2485.
