Last weekend, on a cold and blustery day, the Dutchess/Ulster Heart Walk took place at it's new location, Marist College. This Sunday, with a forecast of sunny skies and temps in the 50's, the Ulster portion of the Dutchess/Ulster Heart Walk will take place at SUNY New Paltz and we hope you will join us and walk with the American Heart Association.

Monies raised through these walks, help fund the largest non-government funding source for heart and stroke research, the #1 and #5 killers of Americans. This year's goal is $403,000 and, so far, $283,267 has been raised. I know we can get there.

There's still time to sign up, form a team, or join one. Just come out Sunday and walk. Registration starts at the Student Center at SUNY New Paltz at 9, with the walk stepping off at 10. Jess, from the CJ in the Morning Show, will be on hand to get everything started!

This year's Heart Walk Honorees, individuals and/or families who have been impacted by heart disease and stroke, are Madison Dallies and Matthew Burchell, two children with amazing stories of survival.

This is why we walk.  You can dedicate your team to a survivor or walk in memory of someone. When our community comes together, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish. Your support helps all hearts.
