If you're a movie buff, you're going to live this crazy promotion being offered at these Hudson Valley theaters.

You may remember the failed Moviepass card that allowed subscribers to see any movie they wanted at any movie theater for one low price every month. The idea sounded a little too good to be true, and apparently, it was. Moviepass quickly ran out of money and wound up disappointing many customers.

This new unlimited movie offer, however, is the real deal and is going to save Hudson Valley film lovers a ton of cash.

A new, Unlimited Subscription service has been launched by Regal Cinemas, that will allow members to see as many movies as they like for as low as $18 per month. The plan will let customers reserve tickets for any movie on the Regal app, or use their membership to pick up tickets for same-day shows at the box office.

Surprisingly, there are very few restrictions to this plan. The company promises that you can see any movie you want, as many times as you want, including new releases. The only exclusions are special one-time-only "Fathom Events" like live concerts and opera performances. You also won't be allowed to reserve two movies with overlapping start times. Otherwise, you can see as many movies a day you want without having to pay anything besides the monthly subscription fee.

The pass is offered in different tiers depending on the theaters you wish to attend. In the Hudson Valley, Regal has locations in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill. The Poughkeepsie location is only included in the "Unlimited All Access" plan that costs $23.50 per month. But that will also let you see unlimited films at any Regal Cinema across the country. The Fishkill location offers that tier, plus a cheaper "Unlimited Plus" subscription that only gets you into 400 Regal locations. Poughkeepsie is not included in the "Unlimited Plus" subscription, so if you only plan on seeing films in Fishkill, the cheaper plan may be a good deal for you.

The Unlimited Passes also include discounts on food and drink and other perks. While this sounds like a great deal, you'll want to make sure that you're actually going to use it every month. The subscription can only be purchased in 1-year increments, so once you sign up you're locked in for 12 months. But, if you see at least two movies a month, this plan may be a great way to save some cash. You can find out more at the Regal website.
