Susan F. Byrne, a Hudson Valley Resident, Dies at 81

Susan F. Byrne, 81, an area resident for 6 years, passed away on June 27, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in the Bronx on February 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Fealey) Healy.

Susan is survived by her children, Eileen Montiero of Wappingers Falls, Carol Stabile and her husband Anthony of Queens, Thomas Byrne and his wife Clara of Mamaroneck, Theresa Ortiz of Florida, Joseph Byrne of Bayside, Michael Byrne of Manhattan, Susan McAuliffe and her husband Daniel of LaGrangeville, Dennis Byrne and his wife Summer of Hopewell Junction; and Lisa Jimison of Hopewell Junction; 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Todesco of New Jersey; her brother, James Healey of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was predeceased by her husband, Dennis D. Byrne on August 22, 2015; her son, David Byrne in 2013; her daughter-in-law, Linda Byrne; and 3 siblings.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
