Get ready, it appears Friday begins a prolonged period of hot weather. It appears we could be in store for a heatwave. In order for it to be a heatwave, you need to excessive heat and humidity for three days or more. That should be the case here. Friday, we will start to see an increase, but as we head into the weekend, we will see temperatures climb into the mid 90’s.

High pressure will build into the region and we will have a hard time breaking it up for a few days. Might be Tuesday or Wednesday before we bring up the warm weather.

Here’s the latest weather from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 89.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 94.

Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 96.

Monday: Mostly sunny and hot. High near 94.
