Wine on the back 9? Or front 9? Either way, wine and golf sounds like a perfect outing.

If you're into golf and wine you may want to keep Sunday, July 29th open on your calendar.  Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Parks and Recreation Commissioner Jim Brooks took to a press release to announced the inaugural Stony Ford Wine and Nine Golf Open.

Stony Ford Winery will be hosting the open starting at 2pm with a shotgun start.

Warwick Valley Winery and Palaia Winery, two popular Hudson Valley Wineries, will be on hand, holding tastings at the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th holes.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams as well as prizes for the closest-to-the-pin and longest drive on holes 7 and 9.

Registration is $45 per person. Registration fees include green fee, golf cart, refreshments, tournament prizes. There will also be  hors d’ouevres & door prizes at the reception in the golf lodge.
