Finally, a break to our heatwave.  We will see an end to this oppressive heat and humidity. A cold front will be in much drier air with some breezy conditions, which will lead to a very nice weekend with lower humidity.  Expect showers and thunderstorms for Friday.  These storms to produce some heavy downpours.  These showers and storms are ahead of the cold front that is moving through.  Right now, it appears to clear out by late afternoon and it should be a much cooler night.  Friday night overnight temperatures will be in the low 50’s.

The weekend looks great, with plenty of sunshine and low humidity.  Temperatures stay in the low 80’s.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday:  Showers and thunderstorms, ending by late afternoon.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  High near 85.

Friday night:  Clear, low near 53.

Saturday:  Sunny, high near 80.

Sunday:  Sunny, high near 84.
