Robert V. Landi, a resident of Wappingers Falls, formally of the Bronx, entered into rest Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 41.
Son of Victor and Christene Landi of Fishkill, he was born February 27, 1975 in the Bronx. He married the former Tricia Pristero on May 29, 1999 in Fishkill. Tricia survives at home in Wappingers Falls with their children, Alisa and Joseph.
Bob worked as a phlebotomist with the American Red Cross. He was a car guy and loved Third Generation Camaros. Bob also loved time with the Washoe County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue team.
In addition to his parents, wife and children, he is survived by his sister, Sharon Landi of Fishkill; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Louie Pristero; his brother-in-law, Louie Pristero and his fiancé Whitney; his sister-in-law, Dawn Benson and her husband Scott of Cody Wyoming; his three nieces, Katie, Olivia and Samantha; and his one nephew, Josh; as well as being loved by aunts, uncles, and cousins that are too many to list.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 9 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street in Fishkill.
