Many current video games allow you to recreate real-world locations using map building functions built into games. A Roblox user spent time recreating the platform at the Poughkeepsie Train Station and can now be played as a level, although some work needs to be done on the background. And stealing trains is prohibited so keep that in mind.

Roblox was launched in 2006 as an online video game allowing players to explore virtual worlds and interact with other online players. Creators of the game set it up so players can play levels created by other gamers.

In July of 2020, PC Games News announced that Roblox passed the 150 million user mark. This means more people are playing Roblox every month than Minecraft and Pokemon Go. While the game has reached a massive level of success there are some concerns from parents. The chat feature within the game is unmoderated so it's important to keep that in mind.

The game itself is free to play but makes money using microtransactions allowing players to purchase upgrades for their character. Roblox is expected to make $250 million this year, more than double the amount made in 2019 according to Game Industry Business.

We're wondering if there are any other Poughkeepsie themed levels built into the game. For a deeper look at the history behind Roblox, check out the video below.
