Poughkeepsie Man Shot, Police Search For Shooter

A 19-year old Poughkeepsie man was shot Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, City 911 received a report of a man shot in the area of 6 Harrison Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a 19-year old man, who had suffered one gunshot wound to the leg. His wound was not life-threatening.

The victim stated that an unknown man exited a vehicle and shot at him.The vehicle was described as a light blue Hyundai.

The victim was transferred by ambulance to an area hospital.
