Police: Florida Man Arrested in Dutchess County For Rape

State Troopers from the Wappingers barracks have charged a Florida man with 10 counts of rape.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappingers barrack have arrested Matthew D. Walder, age 38, of Ponte Vedra, Florida, and charged him with 10 counts of Rape third-degree, class E felonies.

An investigation revealed that between September 2016 and January 2017, Walder had a relationship with the female under the age of 17.

Walder was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $200,000. He is scheduled back in court early next week.
