As part of the Woodbury Transit and Economic Development Hub project there will be overnight construction in the Woodbury area during the overnight hours this week.  The hub project will reconstruct the Route 17 at Route 32, exit 131 interchange.  A project pushed by Governor Cuomo, will meet interstate standards and reconstruct the Route 32 arterial to improve traffic operations and flow.

DOT, will be closing eastbound and westbound lanes overnight, according to the Times Herald Record.  All this week, August 20, 2018 to August, 24, 2018, Monday to Friday, closures will happen from 9pm to 5am.  Traffic may be detoured, so expect delays and possible alternate routes.  This is on Route 17, near exit 131.

The New York State Department of Transportation, does remind motorist to use caution in this area.  Pay special attention to flaggers and any traffic signs.  Fines are doubled in the work zone.  There may be more closures and possible delays in later weeks at the project progresses.
