Being out in nature and exploring all that it has to offer is one of my favorite activities. There are so many places for us to visit within the Hudson Valley that have natural beauty and trails. We can choose from trails that have streams nearby or ones with rolling green hills.

Some Hudson Valley residents enjoy exploring hidden gems within the area while others prefer the most popular trails. We can visit one of my favorites, Minnewaska State Park Preserve in New Paltz. It’s also fun to explore Sam’s Point along with the Ice Caves in Ellenville.

There’s Storm King Mountain in Cornwall-on-Hudson and more great views at the Ashokan Reservoir in Shokan. We can check out a new hiking trail in the Orange County area just in time to enjoy the warm weather!

Sneak Peek At Orange County, NY's 'Magical' New Hiking Trail

On Facebook, the Town of Warwick made an exciting post. They introduced the grand opening of Hidden Hollow Trail which is located at Mountain Lake Park. The Town of Warwick mentioned,

“Discover the Town of Warwick’s newest family-friendly hiking trail - a magical 1/2-mile walk around the pond featuring “hidden” insect homes along the way!”

I love that this trail was created by local volunteers! We can give a shoutout to the Sanfordville Elementary PIE 1-2 students along with families and teachers. The trail crew volunteers were also involved in this exciting project that will bring so much joy to the community and nature lovers.

What Else Can We Explore In The Warwick, NY Area?

We can spend time at Mountain Lake Park in Warwick and on Hidden Hollow Trail. Besides these locations, we can explore Bellvale Farms Creamery for some ice cream, Clearview Winery and Vineyard and the Warwick Drive-In Theater!

If you’re into shopping and walking along a cute village, you can head into town. There’s plenty of places to get something to eat, get a coffee, shop from local businesses and more.

Cheers to summer filled with fun adventure right here in the Hudson Valley with the community that we love.
