There's a new restaurant opening this summer in Dutchess County and I personally couldn't be more excited about it.

This Friday at happy hour, the owners of Grand Cru Beer & Cheese Market in Rhinebeck shared some fantastic news: they're opening a restaurant. The eatery will be called the Haymaker and will feature casual dining and a beer garden. Major renovations are already underway on the property which has been vacant for many years along Route 308 in Rhinebeck. The owners hope to have the place up and running by summer.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the best part of this news is, the fact that there will be a beer garden or that the restaurant will be up the road from my house. Let the stumbling home begin. You can see why I'm so excited right? And don't worry Grand Cru lovers, the brew hub hot spot isn't going any where. This will be a new addition to the family.

So a big congrats to our friends over at Grand Cru on their new adventure and if you've never checked out their location in Rhinebeck do yourself a favor and do it. So many amazing beers on tap, or to take home, yummy snacks, tastings and lively entertainment.

Cheers!
