It's always encouraging to see more "coming soon" signs in the Hudson Valley, and there's a new one from a major retailer hanging just off Route 300 in the Newburgh Towne Center shopping plaza.

Jobs Coming to Newburgh, NY

One of the best reasons for new businesses in the Hudson Valley are the new jobs that come with them. When Old Navy recently opened their new location in Hudson, NY, a page of open jobs on their website followed. While construction is in its earlier stages and no jobs have been posted yet, it should only be a matter of time. So who's coming to Newburgh?

The T.J. Maxx Family in the Hudson Valley

No, not Ms. Maxx herself, but another member of the family is set to open next to the Marshalls located at 1431 Route 300 in Newburgh, NY. Marshalls is another member under the T.J. Maxx corporate umbrella (officially called TJX Companies), so it seems like the perfect location to welcome the new addition: HomeGoods.

HomeGoods in Newburgh, NY

HomeGoods, the Massachusetts-based home goods store (duh!) is currently under construction. HomeGoods stores are also occasionally combined with Marshalls locations. Unfortunately in this location, they're separated by a Dollar Tree, so I vote that they build a secret tunnel (like the one in this Kingston castle) to connect them.

New HomeGooods Locations

As of May 2020, HomeGoods boasted an impressive 814 stores in the Unites States, but that number continues to grow. In addition to the under-construction Newburgh site, stores are also opening in Indiana, Virginia, and more.

It also doesn't hurt that they're opening their Newburgh location next to my personal favorite Newburgh pizzeria, Leo's. Want a full list of the best slice in the area? Check it out below.
