Nature Made Vitamins Recalled Due to Concern of Contamination

If you have recently purchased Nature Made vitamins, please stop taking them until you've checked them against this recall list.

According to the FDA, Pharmavite LLC is recalling specific lots of Nature Made products due to possible Salmonella or Staphylococcus aureus contamination. The danger with either of these is that they can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Others could experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, it could lead to more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The presence of Staph aureus toxin in food may lead to food poisoning, which could be acute and cause nausea, vomiting, retching, abdominal cramping, and prostration.

The specific vitamins involved in this recall include Nature Made Adult Gummies Multi, Nature Made Adult Gummies Multi + Omega-3, Nature Made Adult Gummies Multi for Her plus Omega-3s,and Nature Made Super B Complex w/C & Folic Acid Tablets.
