Lillian Stearns, a Poughkeepsie Resident, Dies at 86

Lillian A. Stearns, 86, of the town of Poughkeepsie, passed away tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Ferncliff Nursing Home(Arch care) in Rhinebeck. She was born in Poughkeepsie on April 17, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Ellie Garrison. On February 12, 1961, she was married to James L. Stearns, who died January 20, 2006.Mrs. Stearns enjoyed babysitting, especially with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Stearns and his wife Leona Anzalone of Wappingers Falls, Grandchildren, Alyssa, Jason, Jordan, and Paige,a sister, Josephine Dow, and her husband John, and a son-in-law Mark Conroe. She was predeceased by a daughter, Darlene Conroe, a brother, Charles Garrison, and a sister, Ada Marie Dean. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
