Janette "Jan" Williams, 96, of Kingston, NY, died at home in her sleep on Aug. 10, 2016.

She is survived by her husband Robert D. of 62 years and two sons, Daniel J. and daughter-in-law, Brigette of Truxton, NY, and James R. and daughter-in-law Susan of Kingston. Also survived by six granddaughters, Samantha and Tom Larsen of Port Henry, NY, Sara and Axilleas Sands of NYC, Anna Williams and Nora Williams of Truxton, NY, Rose Williams of Chico, CA, and Heather Williams of Boston, MA. She is also survived by one sister, Lillian Schoonmaker of Pine Bush, NY. She was predeceased by a brother, John McEwen and sister Mareitta Giebitz. She cherished her family, friends, and her strong faith.

She was born July 10, 1920 in Pine Bush, NY, daughter of the late Oscar and Dora McEwen.

She was employed by Associated Hospital Services (Blue Cross - Blue Shield) as accounting supervisor in Albany for over ten years. A past member, president, and secretary of Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church. Interests included years of craft making with friends for church bazaars. She also held positions in Christian Women and was currently a member of the Hurley Reformed Church.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Tuesday August 16th from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will start at 1pm with inurnment taking place at Rosendale Plains Cemetery.
