How much money would it take for you to stay the night at a haunted mansion? What if an internet personality, who notoriously gives out large amounts of money, challenged you to stay the night at the most haunted house in the world?

That's exactly what happened recently in Glen Spey, New York.

It's no secret that the Hudson Valley is filled with history. With that history of course comes some haunted history and lore as well. I mean we are home to Sleepy Hollow, quite possibly one of the most historically haunted towns in America.

With that being said, according to several sources, the most haunted house in the world is right here in the Hudson Valley, in Glen Spey New York.

Burn Brea Mansion is a themed Bed and Breakfast and also has a spine-tingling past. On their Facebook page they write:

Burn Brae Mansion is a century-old Victorian estate rich in history and paranormal activity. A themed B&B well situated in the Catskill Mountains along the Upper Delaware River, Burn Brae is a unique destination for adventurers of all ages.

Bone Chilling Burn Brea History

So what makes the Glen Spey mansion so haunted? Burn Brea was built in 1908 and after it's 100th anniversary went through some restorations. According to Haunted History Trail of the Hudson Valley that's when things started to get strange:

Shortly after reopening, overnight guests began reporting mysterious sights and sounds during their visit.

The Burn Brea website explains further adding:

At least the last two owners – whose combined ownership spans more than four decades – and their guests, have reported unexplained occurrences, such as doors opening and slamming, children’s voices, balls bouncing, and the apparitions of a woman in white, a man in turn of the century clothing, and a more modern man in overalls. Visitors also often report the sounds of animals when no animals are present and the distinct sound of an organ playing, when there is no organ in the house.

Sounds like a cozy place to spend the night...if you're brave enough of course.

Mr. Beast Challenges Popular Youtuber To Stay at Burn Brea

If you have kids or are staying up to date on the hottest YouTube and social media trends, you're probably familiar with Mr. Beast. He's an internet personality and philanthropist who is known for his elaborate challenges and large giveaways.

It looks like one of his latest challenges involves a night at Burn Brea Mansion! On Friday, January 20th, 2024 Brun Brea Mansion shared that Mr. Beast challenged the most popular Youtuber from Latin America, Federico Vigevani, to spend the night alone at Burn Brea.

In another Instagram post, Vigevani wrote:

This is how I started 2024, talking to @mrbeast the number 1 youtuber in the world who inspires me to create content on the internet. And the craziest thing is that I was challenged to spend a night in the most haunted house in the world, but ALONE! Go watch the video on my channel

The video of Vigevani's stay at Burn Brea hasn't been uploaded yet, but we'll make sure to update you when it is. Now there's no word yet if Vigevani will be getting any money for this challenge, but knowing Mr. Beast there will be some kind of reward involved.
