Why Are Restaurants Closing?
Bloomin' Brands said that out of the 41 closures 33 restaurants were closed Friday (2/23), and that each location had a reason behind its closing with most locations underperforming. The company made it clear that the closings had nothing to do with the quality of service at any of its restaurants with a company spokesperson telling CNN,
"Closing restaurants is never easy. This was a business decision that has no reflection on the staff or their service. Many team members will have the opportunity to transfer to open positions at another restaurant. Employees who do not will receive severance."
If and when more information becomes available regarding any future closings we will update this article.
