Hyde Park Police Take Part in No-Shave November
October is coming to and end and the much colder weather is coming.
You may even be seeing the men in your life looking a little...hairier.
With November approaching men are getting ready for No-Shave-November. According to the No-Shave November official organization, the event is "a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Learn more about how you can get involved and start getting hairy."
Many Hudson Valley outlets and organizations will be taking part in the movement. For instance, the Hyde Park Police department will be putting down their razors and growing out their facial hair for a local charity.
According to Facebook, the Hyde Park Police will be collecting donations for the Ryan McElroy Children's Cancer Foundation.
Ryan McElroy, who was from the Hudson Valley, passed away in 1998 after a brave fight against stage four Ewing sarcoma, which is a rare form of bone cancer.
If you plan on donating to the Ryan McElroy Foundation mention the Hyde Park Police Department and No-Shave November.
