An artist from Carmel is raising funds to help the wildlife in Australia.

The entire world is watching Australia burn through either their television or a computer monitor. We all wish there was something we could do. Many people want to help. Sadly, we as residents of New York, we know what dealing with destruction is like all to well. Our hearts have grown bigger over the last two decades. We're willing to help however, whenever and wherever we can.

Renee Parrillo, an artist who's originally from the Bronx but know lives in Carmel is selling prints of her beautiful original artwork of a kangaroo.

"We do what we can with what we have and I wanted to be able to help in a bigger way  so I decided to draw two portraits and sell the prints for $10 each . I plan to donate 100% of the money to help the wildlife in Australia."

100% of the proceeds will go to WIRES and other organizations that are saving animals in Australia during the devastating wildfires.

If you'd like to support a local artist and donate monetarily to Australian wildlife rescue you can reach out to Renee on her Instagram page or her email at Ren3edanielle@aol.com
