With warmer weather on the way we can look forward to a season of food, car shows, flea markets and more. Our local fire departments will be looking for us, as well. Each week we want to get the word out about your local firehouse happenings. If you are a member of a Hudson Valley fire department or you know someone who is, please let them know that we want to hear about what's going on at the firehouse so we can spread the word.

Modena Ladies Aux - Saturday, April 21 Movie Night. Doors open at 5:30pm. Showing Ferdinand at 7pm. Then Wonder starting at 9pm. Bring your chairs and blankets. Cost: $5 admission at the door. Refreshment and baked goods available for purchase. Location: 1953 Route 44 / 55 Modena NY.

Cronomer Valley Fire Department - Saturday, April 21 dinner/show fundraiser (2 Shows) 5pm to 9pm. Cost: $35 ticket includes a buffet dinner, two complimentary drinks, and a show by "Times Square - Vocal Harmony" performing Doo Wop music from the '50s and '60s. Advance tickets only. Marlboro Firefighters - Saturday, April 28 Spaghetti Dinner with open seating from 5pm to 8:30pm. Cost: Tickets being sold by firefighters. Adults $15, Children under 14 $10, Seniors over 65 $12, take out $10. Come when you want and stay as long as you like. Menu: Salad, water, soda, pasta, garlic bread, meatballs, and your choice of sauce. Location: St. Mary's Church Hall, located at 71 Grand Street.

Modena Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary - Sunday, May 6 Community Yard Sale From 10am to 3pm, rain or shine. Vendor space $25 a spot or two for $45. Contact Michelle (845) 883-0465. Location: The Modena Fire House 1953 Route 44 / 55 Modena NY

Port Ewen Volunteer Fire Department - Friday, June 1 and Saturday June 2 from 6pm to midnight. It's the annual bazaar with fun, food and games. Location: Port Ewen Fire Department's Backyard - 161 Broadway Port Ewen, NY 12466.

Wallkill Fire Department - Every Wednesday Night BINGO. Doors and Kitchen open at 5pm. Selling starts at 6pm. Calling starts at 7pm.

Monthly Events

Kripplebush-Lyonsville Fire Company Volunteer Members  - "SUB NITE at the Firehouse" from 4 to 7 PM. Cost: Donation of $9. Call in orders are taken starting at 3:30pm (845)-687-9801. Menu: Hot & Cold 12" subs are made to order. Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, a Mix, Veggie, Tuna, Meatball Parm, Chicken Parm and our great Philly Cheese, with your choice of fix en's. Eat in or take out. Served with a cold soda and a bag of chips.
